Job summary

MasterMold LLC in Mauston, WI is seeking a Quality Technician to inspect materials and processes, identify defects, and drive root-cause analysis on the production floor. You’ll collaborate with operators, leads, engineers, and quality teammates to maintain product quality from raw materials through finished goods.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, real-time data recording, and supporting improvements to procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in quality control, quality assurance, inspection, or a related role within manufacturing.
• Familiarity with quality inspection tools, measurement techniques, and basic quality processes.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize inconsistencies or defects.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with employees at different levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and testing on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet established quality requirements.
• Identify defects, trends, and potential quality concerns and communicate findings to the appropriate teams.
• Work directly with production employees, leads, supervisors, and other departments to investigate quality issues and support corrective actions.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
• Use quality inspection tools, measurement equipment, and systems to evaluate products and track results.
• Assist with troubleshooting and root-cause investigations when quality concerns arise.
• Support the development and improvement of quality procedures, standards, and processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities focused on reducing defects, improving consistency, and strengthening overall product quality.
• Help reinforce quality expectations and best practices throughout the manufacturing process.
