Job summary

SO2 Power, founded in Houston, seeks a hands-on Quality Engineer to inspect, test, and improve surge protection, backup power, and monitoring devices in our lab and warehouse. You will analyze returned units, work with suppliers to fix root causes, and own CAPA through closure, ensuring safety and reliability across product lines.

This role emphasizes practical testing, documentation, and collaboration with suppliers to prevent field failures and protect customers in Texas and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 2+ years of quality or test engineering experience in electronics or consumer hardware.
• Comfortable with multimeters, oscilloscopes, hipot testers, and battery analyzers.
• Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, and root-cause analysis methods.

Responsibilities

• Run incoming, in-process, and final inspections on electrical and battery products.
• Design test fixtures and write inspection procedures for new product introductions.
• Analyze RMA and warranty data to find failure trends and propose corrective actions.
• Log non-conformances and manage CAPA through to closure.
• Support supplier audits and first-article inspections.
• Maintain calibration records for test and measurement equipment.
