Job summary

Light & Wonder is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to own supplier and component quality across electronic hardware commodities. You will qualify suppliers and components, drive root-cause resolution, and partner with design, procurement, and manufacturing to embed quality from concept to mass production.

The role requires hands-on experience with PPAP, 8D, and SPC, plus the ability to present metrics to leadership and collaborate cross-functionally on design reviews and sourcing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or Materials Science.
• 7+ years of quality engineering experience in electronics or hardware manufacturing.
• Hands-on commodity experience with displays, CPUs/SoCs, and PCBA.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary quality owner for display, CPU/processor, and PCBA commodities across the product lifecycle.
• Lead supplier qualification, on-site audits, and performance management for component manufacturers.
• Drive quality core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC) and approve supplier submissions, first-article inspections, and control plans.
• Investigate and resolve component and assembly failures using structured problem-solving (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa).
• Manage nonconformance, containment, and supplier corrective action processes to closure.
• Establish and track commodity quality metrics and drive continuous improvement.
