Job summary

AES is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead the quality engineering efforts supporting energetic materials and products for U.S. defense and commercial customers.

You will apply MIL-STD, MIL-DTL, MIL-PRF, and customer data to plan, verify, and improve quality from incoming material to final acceptance. You will drive root cause investigations, CAPA, MRB activities, and participate in audits (ISO 9001/AS9100).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field; 5+ years quality engineering in defense/aerospace.
• Experience reading MIL standards and customer drawings; ISO 9001/AS9100 preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret contract, drawing, and specification requirements into inspection plans and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and maintain inspection/test plans, control plans, and sampling plans (MIL-STD-1916, ANSI/ASQ Z1.4).
• Lead Corrective Action / Preventive Action system with root cause analysis.
• Lead MRB and nonconforming material processes and dispositions.
• Plan and perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and prepare documentation.
