Job summary

Princeton Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team in Michigan. You will perform a wide range of trades, from carpentry and painting to electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks, while providing professional service to residents and coworkers.

You will communicate effectively, prioritize work, and work both independently and as part of a team. The role includes on-call shifts, potential overtime, and physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing ladders.

Responsibilities

• Professionally communicate with coworkers, vendors, and residents
• Lead by example with a positive attitude
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Prioritize tasks and stay organized
• Identify and report issues involving employees, property, or residents
• Complete service requests in occupied apartments in a timely manner
• Maintain common areas including hallways and community rooms
• Turn vacant apartments to be leasing-ready
• Remove trash and debris from vacant units; assist with evictions
• Repair or replace window glass and screens
• Paint and touch up as needed
• Carpentry tasks (drywall, doors, trim, cabinets, countertops, tile)
• Basic electrical work (switches, outlets, fixtures, wiring)
• Basic appliance repairs (stove, fridge, dishwasher, laundry)
• Basic plumbing (faucets, tubs, toilets, water heaters, drains)
• HVAC repairs; EPA Refrigerant Recovery Certification preferred
• Maintain exterior lighting; replace bulbs and fixtures
• Snow removal from walkways and entryways
• General grounds duties and seasonal outdoor maintenance
• Preventative maintenance for equipment and tools
• Complete municipal/building inspector-required work
• After-hours on-call for maintenance emergencies
• Overtime as needed
• Lifting up to 50 lbs; ladder work
• Support Supervisor/Manager with other community operations tasks
