Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Handyman (32BJ) to perform non-technical general building maintenance, light upkeep, custodial tasks, and minor repairs across commercial properties in New York. The role requires physical aptitude and the ability to work under supervision, with proficiency in using basic tech tools and completing safety training.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, and preferably completion of an apprentice program or trade school.

Qualifications

• Participation in apprentice program or trade school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance under close supervision.
• Perform custodial duties, grounds maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Move materials, run errands for projects and assist engineers.
• Replace door hardware, locks, and keys.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces and prep surfaces as needed.
• Replace bulbs/lamps/ballasts and clean fixtures.
• Move furniture and assist with setups.
• Vacancy cleanup and organization.
