Job summary

Broan-NuTone in Hartford, WI is seeking a Project Engineering Intern to support the Engineering team through day-to-day activities, project work, and process improvement initiatives. The role offers hands-on experience in a professional environment.

You will gain exposure to Creo CAD, basic design tasks, and collaboration with engineers on electromechanical components, prototypes, and ECN processes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or recent graduate in engineering or related program.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical devices, electromechanical components, electrical connections, and home appliances.
• Ability to identify problems in design using engineering principles.
• Effective communication in English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge and experience using basic mechanical tools and instruments.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise 3D CAD models/assemblies and 2D drawings in Creo.
• Participate in design, development, implementation, and analysis of electromechanical components, systems, or products.
• Perform basic engineering design tasks and calculations using standard techniques.
• Assist in standard testing and analysis of test results.
• Prepare written summaries related to meetings, tasks, and tests.
• Author and manage Engineering Change Notifications (ECN) through the workflow.
• Collaborate closely with Sr. engineers and project teams.
