Job summary

Simmons Prepared Foods Inc is hiring for a Further Prod Tech SP1 (NS) on-site in a production setting. The role involves learning and rotating through packer, scaler, styler and grader tasks to maintain line speeds at the designated rate for each product.

Responsibilities include working on a moving conveyor, packing and weighing products, inspecting and grading, and collaborating with the team to implement policies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience on a production line and packing operations.
• Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 55 pounds.
• Familiarity with LEAN principles and team-based work.
• Safety awareness and PPE usage.
• Preference for poultry or food processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Move on a moving conveyor belt and prepare product by hand on the belt.
• Perform multiple packing and weighing tasks.
• Pull bones from product; inspect, grade and remove substandard product.
• Participate as a team member and support team concepts, programs and policies.
• Maintain familiarity with Simmons operating systems and communicate concerns for improvement.
