Job summary

QXO is a leading distributor and installer of building products delivering quality materials and services. The Production Specialist supports manufacturing by assisting in cutting, assembly, and handling of building materials, combining hands-on expertise with careful attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should be hands-on, safety-conscious, and capable of reading work orders, blueprints, and measurement tools to maintain quality and efficiency throughout production.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; basic measurement and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce building products according to work orders, layouts, and specifications.
• Read and interpret production paperwork, blueprints, and measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
• Measure, mark, position, and fasten materials using hand and power tools.
• Inspect materials and completed products to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Identify and remove damaged or non-conforming materials.
• Set up workstations, tools, and materials for production runs.
• Move completed products to staging or designated production areas.
• Perform quality checks and support changeovers as needed during production.
• Maintain awareness of production schedules and workflow priorities.
• Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and operational procedures.
