Job summary

Hormel Foods is offering a Production Management Intern role in multiple U.S. locations. You will gain hands-on experience in manufacturing, shadow Team Leaders, and help optimize production processes while documenting key roles and responsibilities.

Hours are full-time, about 40 per week, with potential overtime. The program runs 10–12 weeks in late May to early August, with housing or relocation support and a path to future opportunities at a Fortune 500 company.

Qualifications

• Graduation in Aug 2027, Dec 2027, or May 2028 required.
• Must not require employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
• Must be 18 years of age or older (all plant positions).
• Must be open to relocation.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to the job responsibilities of a full-time Team Leader
• Review production processes against the current Process Specification Summary
• Assist Team Leaders with information gathering to optimize performance
• Document job descriptions for key positions, identifying major accountabilities
• Assist with the supervision of a staff of approximately 15-30 employees
• The position is very hands-on - interns are usually in the production area “on-their-feet” about 80% of the shift
