Job summary

FoodScience in Williston, Vermont, is seeking a Production Area Supervisor to lead daily operations on the production floor. You will direct workflow, coach employees, and ensure safety, quality, and timely production in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with management to identify improvements, reinforce SOPs and cGMPs, and support training and onboarding. A hands-on, team-oriented leader drives daily priorities and fosters a collaborative atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to provide day-to-day leadership in a production environment.
• Clear communication of priorities and updates; coordinate multiple activities.
• Hands-on leadership, willing to work alongside employees.
• Coach, train, and support staff to follow procedures and meet standards.
• Strong problem-solving, judgment, and escalation when needed.
• Adherence to SOPs, cGMPs, safety requirements, and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day work direction to Production employees per schedules and priorities.
• Coordinate workflow and assignments to meet production requirements.
• Communicate priorities, changes, and updates across shifts.
• Perform final inspections of job setups to support Right First Time.
• Monitor production activities and resolve workflow constraints.
• Coach and support employees to meet work expectations and safety standards.
• Support training and onboarding of new employees.
• Promote teamwork and positive working relationships across departments.
• Escalate concerns to management as needed.
• Support the completion of production documentation and proper equipment shutdowns.
