Job summary

Wald Manufacturing Inc. in Minnesota seeks a hands-on product development and build technician to help complete and document our Brown Bear 400 tractor. This full‑time, day‑shift role runs Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., with pay ranging from $20 to $30 per hour based on experience. No engineering degree required.

The position blends shop work, documentation, vendor communication, and mechanical problem solving, with on‑the‑job training and opportunities to advance within the company.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical ability with basic computer skills.
• Attention to detail and clear communication with vendors and coworkers.
• Experience with equipment assembly, electrical wiring, hydraulics, technical documentation, drafting, parts, service, or product support is valuable.
• Experience working with CAD models or technical drawings is helpful, though advanced CAD design experience is not required.
• Will be trained on Autodesk Inventor and the company's equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Contact vendors for technical information and 3D models.
• Document electrical wiring and component connections.
• Review 3D models and drawings, identifying missing information or components.
• Maintain parts and build information, recording changes made during assembly.
• Assist with hands‑on assembly of the tractor, including installation and routing of wiring, hydraulic components, hoses, mechanical parts, controls, and other systems.
• Work through problems as they arise and document final solutions for future production and service.
