Job summary

Georgia-Pacific’s Dixie facility in Darlington, SC is seeking a Process Control Engineer to advance safety, reliability, and performance of our 24/7 manufacturing operations. You will apply your controls, automation, and electrical engineering expertise to solve complex problems, support production, and implement sustainable improvements across our converting operations.

Qualifications

Experience troubleshooting PLC-based control systems.
Experience reading electrical schematics and control documentation.
Experience collaborating with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on troubleshooting and support for PLCs, HMIs, drives, robotics, instrumentation, safety systems, and networks to improve uptime.
Partner with operations, maintenance, E&I, and leadership teams to diagnose issues and implement long-term solutions.
Evaluate existing control systems, identify gaps, and recommend practical improvements.
Support startup, commissioning, debugging, and stabilization of new or upgraded equipment.
Maintain accurate control system documentation, backups, and drawings.
