Job summary
Automation Solutions seeks an experienced Controls Engineer to design, program, and commission automated systems. You will create PLC/HMI code, troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo/motion, robotics, and vision systems, and interpret electrical drawings for robust control solutions.
Travel about 25% supports installation, startup, and on-site service while collaborating with engineering, sales, and fabrication teams to deliver integrated automation projects.
Qualifications
- Proven PLC programming background including ladder logic for creation and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo/motion systems, robotics, and vision systems.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and understand sequences of operation.
- Experience integrating, modifying, troubleshooting, or repairing industrial control systems.
- Willingness to travel about 25% for installation, startup and service.
Responsibilities
- Design, program, integrate, and debug automated control systems.
- Develop and refine PLC/HMI code and related industrial control programs.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo/motion, robotics, and vision systems.
- Interpret drawings and update documentation; conduct testing and runoffs.
- Commission, install, and provide field support for equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements.
