Job summary

Georg Fischer LLC is seeking a Training Manager to lead hands-on technical training across plastics manufacturing operations on the shop floor. You will coach operators, apprentices, and teams, and build structured programs to improve safety, quality, and productivity.

The role requires 15+ years in plastics training or leadership, with experience in extrusion, injection molding, and fabrication processes. You will collaborate with production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and HR to scale

Qualifications

Minimum 15+ years of leadership, engineering, technical training, or senior operational experience in plastics production.
Strong hands-on experience in plastics extrusion, injection molding, pipe and fittings production, and related operations.
Experience developing training schedules, skills matrices, work instructions, or structured training programs.
Solid understanding of safety, quality, productivity, standard work, and process control.
Ability to coach, train, and develop shop-floor employees and apprentices.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver hands-on shop-floor training across extrusion, injection molding, assembly, fabrication, and piping operations.
Create, maintain, and improve structured training programs, matrices, certifications, and progression plans for production roles.
Oversee apprentice training, rotations, evaluations, and documentation.
Identify skill gaps with production leadership and implement training interventions to improve performance and safety.
Ensure training materials, work instructions, checklists, and assessments are accurate and compliant.
