IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. seeks a hands-on Plant HR Manager for a Chattanooga, TN automotive manufacturing facility.

Role partners with Plant Manager and leadership to drive HR strategy, engagement, talent development, and workforce planning in a fast-paced, non-union environment. Responsibilities include recruiting, onboarding, performance management, training, and ensuring compliance with federal/state employment laws, with one HR Generalist report.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Supervisory or people-management experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in a non-union manufacturing environment; union experience not required.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, performance management, training, benefits, compensation, and HR compliance.
• Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
• Experience partnering with plant leadership and front-line manufacturing employees.
• Strong business acumen to connect HR to plant operational objectives.
• Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems; MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• SHRM certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and hands-on HR support to plant leadership and employees.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning for the facility.
• Manage performance management and talent development processes.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
• Oversee employee relations, investigations, and workplace investigations.
• Partner with Corporate Talent and Total Rewards teams on HR programs.
