Job summary

You will collaborate with Field Technicians and the Shop Foreman to ensure equipment quality, reliability, and readiness for installation. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, PLC familiarity, ability to read engineering drawings, and strict safety discipline.

Qualifications

• Experience in packaging automation or industrial maintenance.
• Foundational knowledge of electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLCs.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and safety compliance.
• Lifts up to 50 pounds and stands for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and configure automated packaging machinery according to drawings and specs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, motor, and control issues in the shop.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and testing before deployment.
• Support equipment rebuilds, refurbishments, and upgrades.
• Prepare machines for shipment and field installation.
• Assist with reception and staging of equipment.
• Receive spare parts and ship parts to Field Technicians.
• Maintain shop organization, inventory, and documentation.
• Coordinate shop workflow to support timely projects.
• Follow safety policies and LOCKOUT/TAGOUT.
• Identify opportunities for improvements and cost savings.
• Assist with Spare Parts Room management.
• Use CMMS software as a user.
• Support occasional field service activities.
