Job summary

Plantible Foods seeks an Operations Engineer for its Eldorado, TX production facility. This on-site, early-career role works on the plant floor to evolve R&D into commercial operations and to build the systems, work aids, and improvement roadmap needed for future automation and scale-up.

You will operate downstream processing equipment, troubleshoot production deviations, and support inventory and shipments while translating R&D findings into robust manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years hands-on experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical or ingredient manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, and data-analysis skills.
• On-site work at Ranchito on projects as needed; HACCP/FSMA understanding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate downstream processing equipment daily to support pilot plant and production activities.
• Troubleshoot production deviations and develop durable solutions with engineering and operations teams.
• Support inventory management and customer-shipment readiness for the commercialization team.
• Translate R&D findings into robust, scalable manufacturing processes with SOPs and docs.
• Be ready to transition trial-scale testing to 24x7 operations as volume grows.
• Create clear deviation-based operating instructions and a data-driven improvement mindset.
