Job summary

Cerebras Systems is seeking a Network Security Engineer to build, operate, and secure the network infrastructure across data centers, cloud, and corporate networks supporting AI systems.

This hands-on, on-site role is based in Sunnyvale, CA, with responsibility for firewalls, segmentation, VPNs, and automation. You will collaborate with security operations and network teams to protect critical workloads in cloud and on‑prem environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in network security or related fields.
• Hands-on with firewalls, ACLs, segmentation, VPNs, and troubleshooting.
• Experience operating data center and on-premises networks.
• Experience with AWS networking (VPCs, transit gateways, SGs, load balancers).
• Familiarity with ZTNA, NAC, egress controls, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS.
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate firewalls, ACLs, segmentation, and security controls across environments.
• Support hands-on data center network operations: deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance.
• Implement and maintain segmentation, firewall, and ACL policies across environments.
• Manage inbound/outbound network controls: exposure, NAT, load balancers, DNS filtering, proxies, and egress.
• Implement and operate VPN, ZTNA, NAC, Wi‑Fi, and partner connectivity.
• Perform firewall rule reviews, segmentation audits, and remediation of exposure.
• Automate network and security workflows using Terraform, Ansible, GitOps, Python.
• Support network telemetry, detection, investigation, containment with Security Operations.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS in cloud networks.
• Maintain network architecture docs, procedures, runbooks.
