Job summary

Cerebras Systems is seeking a Network Security Engineer to build, operate, and secure the network for data centers, cloud and corporate networks. This remote, U.S.-based role collaborates with on-site teams and may require travel to Cerebras offices or data centers.

You will manage firewalls, segmentation, VPNs, and cloud networking, while advancing automation with Terraform, Ansible, Python, and GitOps. Strong experience in AWS networking and security platforms is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in network security, engineering, or infra security.
• Hands-on with firewalls, ACLs, segmentation, VPNs, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with data center and remote networks.
• Experience with AWS networking components (VPCs, SGs, load balancers).
• Familiar with ZTNA, NAC, egress controls, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment across time zones.
• Occasional travel to Cerebras offices or data centers.

Responsibilities

• Operate firewalls, ACLs, segmentation and security controls across environments.
• Remotely support data center network deployment and troubleshooting.
• Implement and maintain network segmentation, firewall, and ACL policies.
• Manage inbound/outbound controls, NAT, load balancers, DNS filtering, proxies.
• Implement and operate VPN, ZTNA, NAC, Wi‑Fi, and partner connectivity.
• Perform firewall rule reviews and remediation of exposure risks.
• Automate workflows with Terraform, Ansible, Python and GitOps.
• Support detection, investigation, containment with Security Operations.
• Troubleshoot routing, DNS, TLS, and cloud networking issues.
• Maintain architecture docs and runbooks; coordinate remote changes.
