Job summary

Encore Talent Solutions is partnering with a growing healthcare organization undergoing a major technology transformation in Tampa. We’re seeking a hands-on technical leader to stabilize infrastructure, guide architecture decisions, and execute alongside a developing team.

You’ll own infrastructure, networking, and security initiatives, mentor engineers, collaborate with vendors, and drive projects to completion.

Qualifications

• Strong background in infrastructure and networking.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles in practice.
• Proven ability to operate as a hands-on technical leader.
• Comfortable working in fast-moving, evolving environments.
• Ability to teach, mentor, and elevate less experienced engineers.
• Self-starter who takes initiative and solves problems without direction.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the right hand to the CTO on infrastructure and security initiatives.
• Take ownership of network, systems, and Microsoft ecosystem architecture.
• Lead and support a small team of engineers (mentor, guide, and elevate performance).
• Drive execution across multiple active projects in partnership with external vendors.
• Step into complex technical issues and resolve them without heavy direction.
• Help implement structure, documentation, and best practices where they don’t exist today.
• Ensure projects stay on track and reduce escalation dependency on leadership.
