Amentum seeks a Network Engineer Intern to support the Missile Defense Agency on the IRES contract at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs. The six-month internship offers hands-on work with Cisco hardware and network devices under guidance from senior engineers.

Responsibilities include design, configuration, installation, and testing of IT networks at remote and enterprise sites. Requires 6+ months experience, DoW Secret clearance, and DoW 8570 IAT Level II certification within 3

Qualifications

• 6+ months of general (full-time) work experience.
• Interest in Network Engineer role and desire to grow into a Junior role.
• Must have or obtain within 3 months of hire a DoW 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or above).
• Must have or obtain an active DoW Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist design, configuration, installation, and testing of IT network devices and systems at MDA remote and enterprise sites.
• Coordinate with architecture/engineering leads, project managers, and network engineers to follow design and implementation docs.
• Provide detailed information for hardware and software selection with guidance from senior network engineers.
• Gain hands-on experience with Cisco hardware and technologies (e.g., Software Defined Access).
