Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. in Bagdad, Arizona, is seeking a skilled Mine Operations support professional to perform shovel moves, dewatering tasks, and related mine-support duties.

You will lay and pick up power cables, operate cable-related equipment, and help maintain Dewatering systems. The role requires at least 2 years of mine operations experience, strong safety compliance, and the ability to work with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in Mine Operations or related Industrial Operations/Maintenance with heavy equipment
• Effective written, verbal and communications skills to satisfy training, safety, and electronic message policies
• Able to communicate with Supervisors and other Departments
• Must have good organizational skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision
• Basic knowledge of mining activities such as cable handling, shovel moves, dewatering, pump setup and HDPE pipe fusing
• Basic knowledge of Power Distribution for Cable Moves
• Ability to read maps and understand traffic patterns
• Must have proven safe work history
• Demonstrated ability to work safely in mining environment
• Must complete academic and practical competencies required and pass written assessments where required

Responsibilities

• Lay and pick up power cables
• Strategically plan and execute Shovel moves
• Safely operating cable and boom trucks
• Set up and maintain Dewatering systems
• Perform HDPE pipe fusing
• Assist in mine support activities as necessary
• Train and mentor other employees
• Perform other duties as required
