Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. in Bagdad, AZ is seeking a skilled Mine Operations/Support worker to safely provide shovel moves, dewatering support and other mine functions. You will join a team in a safety-sensitive, 24/7 operation with rotating shifts and robust training.

The role emphasizes safety and operational reliability in a heavy industrial setting. Responsibilities include laying cables, planning shovel moves, operating cable/boom trucks, dewatering system setup, HDPE pipe fusing, and mentoring

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in Mine Operations or related Industrial Operations with heavy equipment
• Effective written, verbal and communications skills to satisfy safety and training policies
• Able to communicate effectively with Supervisors and other Departments
• Must have good organizational skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision
• Basic knowledge of mining activities such as cable handling, shovel moves, dewatering, pump setup and HDPE pipe fusing
• Basic knowledge of Power Distribution for Cable Moves
• Able to read maps and understand traffic patterns
• Must have proven safe work history
• Demonstrated ability to work safely in mining environment
• Experience meeting internal progression requirements (LOP) and passing required assessments

Responsibilities

• Lay and pick up power cables
• Plan and execute Shovel moves
• Safely operating cable and boom trucks
• Set up and maintain Dewatering systems
• Perform HDPE pipe fusing
• Assist in mine support activities as necessary
• Train and mentor other employees
• Perform other duties as required
