Job summary

Lunar Resources in Houston, TX is seeking a hands-on General Mechanical Technician to join our production team. You will assemble, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems that support manufacturing operations, working with engineers and operators in a fast-moving hardware environment.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, reading drawings and P&IDs, and documenting work while observing safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience as a mechanical technician or similar role.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and P&IDs.
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and rotating equipment.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods; safe work practices.
• High school diploma or GED; technical/trade certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, align, and fit mechanical components from drawings and instructions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair on production and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to root cause.
• Fabricate and modify parts using hand and power tools and shop equipment.
• Read mechanical drawings and schematics; support equipment builds and tests.
• Maintain logs and follow safety procedures; keep areas clean and audit-ready.
