Job summary

Interns work with licensed engineers and designers on HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems, contributing to real buildings and active projects across healthcare, education, commercial, and mission-critical facilities. You will gain experience from concept through construction, participate in BIM coordination, and develop professional communication and presentation skills

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges

Responsibilities

• Assist with HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical system design using Revit and AutoCAD
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations and assist with duct and pipe sizing
• Support development of mechanical plans, schedules, diagrams, and construction documents
• Gain exposure to HVAC equipment, piping systems, energy efficiency, and building performance
• Learn how codes and design requirements are applied to real projects
• Work alongside licensed professionals on active projects
• Participate in cross-disciplinary coordination with architecture, electrical, and structural teams
