Job summary

Frankfurt Short Bruza Associates, P.C. invites electrical engineering students to join a hands-on Summer Internship in Oklahoma City. Work beside licensed electrical engineers and designers on power, lighting, and technology systems in real buildings.

You'll engage from project conception through construction, gaining exposure to Revit/AutoCAD documentation, load calculations, and multidisciplinary BIM coordination while contributing to active projects and professional development.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Able to work on site in Oklahoma City for the duration of the summer internship, approximately 40 hours per week.
• Basic familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, or similar design software preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, problem solving, and collaboration skills.
• Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to ask questions, take on new challenges, and learn from experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical system design and documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Support power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, and low voltage system design.
• Perform basic electrical calculations and assist with load analysis, equipment selection, and system sizing.
• Support development of construction documents, electrical plans, one-line diagrams, schedules, and technical deliverables.
• Learn how NEC and other codes are applied to real-world projects.
• Gain exposure to the electrical design process from concept through construction.
