Job summary

Japanese Manufacture in Hebron, OH is seeking a hands‑on Mechanical / Automation Engineer to support the manufacturing and automation projects on the shop floor.

The role welcomes early‑career candidates from recent graduates to engineers with about 1–5 years of experience, with relocation for non‑local candidates encouraged.

You will assist with installation, troubleshooting, and upgrades, working closely with engineers and technicians to improve safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/robotics or related STEM field.
• Recent graduates welcome.
• 1–5 years of engineering experience encouraged.
• Hands-on experience with machinery, robotics, or automation is a plus.
• Willingness to relocate if outside the area.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical and automation‑related engineering projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Assist with installation, replacement, modification, and improvement of machinery and equipment.
• Disassemble and reassemble mechanical equipment for upgrades or modifications.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation‑related issues.
• Support equipment testing, commissioning, and process improvements.
• Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members on the manufacturing floor.
• Participate in hands‑on engineering activities and technical problem‑solving.
• Follow applicable safety and operational procedures.
