Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for an on-site contract-to-hire position in Anoka, MN. You will assemble machines from start to finish using a variety of hand, power, and pneumatic tools, following blueprints and work instructions, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will work in small pods with teammates, cross-train on multiple lines, and participate in paperwork and quality checks.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in any industry.
• Preferably 6 months of assembly/manufacturing experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and drawings.
• Comfort working with power and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble machines from start to finish following procedures and work instructions.
• Use hand, power, and pneumatic tools to perform mechanical assembly.
• Read blueprints and drawings to ensure accurate assembly.
• Move machines and components with pallet jacks.
• Verify that machines meet quality standards and specifications.
• Complete required paperwork to confirm quality checks and assembly completion.
• Measure parts with a tape measure and basic tools.
• Operate small air, hand, and electric tools safely.
• Work in pods with 3–4 team members and cross-train on lines as needed.
• Communicate with team and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow safety procedures.
