Sapphire Recruitment is partnering with an established manufacturing company to hire a Materials Planner. The role focuses on aligning production schedules, materials, purchasing, and inventory with customer demand, while collaborating with production, purchasing, warehouse, engineering, and suppliers to keep materials and production moving.

• 5+ years in materials planning, production planning, purchasing, supply chain, or similar manufacturing role.
• Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems.
• Experience developing and managing production schedules.
• Knowledge of purchasing, inventory control, and supplier management.
• Strong Excel, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, capacity, inventory, and material availability.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules when priorities, staffing, equipment, or material availability change.
• Use ERP/MRP data to identify material requirements, shortages, and potential supply risks.
• Coordinate purchasing activities and follow up with suppliers on pricing, lead times, delivery schedules, and past-due orders.
• Maintain appropriate inventory and planning parameters, including lead times, safety stock, reorder points, and order quantities.
• Work directly with production and warehouse teams to resolve material, inventory, and scheduling issues.
• Monitor supplier performance and address delivery or quality concerns that could affect production.
• Analyze inventory, planning, and purchasing data to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, cost savings, and material availability.
• Supervise and provide day-to-day direction to a Purchasing & Planning Coordinator.
• Communicate changing priorities, shortages, and production risks across departments.
