Job summary

RJS Corporation in Akron, OH is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Team Lead for the Paint, Assembly, and Wood Shop departments. You will lead daily operations, assign priorities, and mentor team members to meet production goals while upholding quality and safety standards.

This working leadership role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to read drawings and process instructions. Schedule is Mon-Thu with overtime as needed; you will help develop a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience in assembly, painting, woodworking, fabrication, or related operations.
• Previous Team Lead, Crew Lead, or Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read drawings, work instructions, and production schedules.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• ERP/MRP system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across Paint, Assembly, and Wood Shop areas.
• Assign work and coordinate production priorities.
• Train and mentor employees on processes, quality standards, and safety procedures.
• Monitor productivity, workflow, and quality performance.
• Review work orders, drawings, and assembly instructions.
• Ensure materials and work areas are production-ready.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
