Job summary

American Woodmark is seeking a Lead Person to oversee safety and quality production within a designated work cell or department. You will supervise up to 30 staff and report directly to the department Supervisor.

You will observe workflow, assign staff, inspect quality, train Assembly Workers, and communicate issues to ensure safety and production standards. This role emphasizes strong leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Oversee safety and quality production within a department.
• Supervise up to 30 staff and report to the department Supervisor.
• Communicate issues to supervisor related to safety or quality.
• Champion company policies, values and code of conduct.

Responsibilities

• Observe workflow while adjusting machinery, staff and materials as needed.
• Assign staff to work cells and delegate tasks per production plan.
• Inspect quality of materials and parts produced.
• Train and assist Assembly Workers.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained.
• Prioritize tasks to meet production requirements amid variables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Deliver consistent customer service and demonstrate respect and empathy.
