Job summary

RJS Corporation in Akron, OH is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Team Lead to oversee daily operations in the Machine Shop, Saw, and Weld areas. This hands-on leadership role focuses on developing teams, improving processes, and driving production results on the shop floor.

You will lead activities, train and coach team members, ensure quality and safety standards, and collaborate with ERP/MRP systems to track labor and production data.

Qualifications

• 5+ years manufacturing leadership experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, measuring tools, and quality standards.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities across Machine Shop, Saw, and Weld departments.
• Assign work, monitor productivity, and ensure production goals are met.
• Train, coach, and develop team members on the shop floor.
• Review blueprints, work orders, and production requirements.
• Ensure quality, safety, and operational standards are maintained.
• Support troubleshooting, workflow improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate labor reporting and ERP/MRP transactions.
