Job summary

RJS Corporation in Akron, OH is seeking a Manufacturing Team Lead for the Machine Shop, Saw, and Weld operations. This hands-on leadership role focuses on driving daily production, coaching teams, and improving processes on the shop floor.

You will read blueprints, monitor quality and safety, and coordinate with maintenance and production planning to meet goals. Leadership and strong problem-solving are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in machining, fabrication, or welding.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, measuring tools, and quality standards.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities across Machine Shop, Saw, and Weld departments.
• Assign work, monitor productivity, and ensure production goals are met.
• Train, coach, and develop team members.
• Review blueprints, work orders, and production requirements.
• Ensure quality, safety, and operational standards are maintained.
• Support troubleshooting, workflow improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate labor reporting and ERP/MRP transactions.

Manufacturing Team Lead (Machine Shop, Saw & Weld Operations)

Location: Akron, OH

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 10-hour shifts (Fridays and overtime as needed)

RJS Corporation, a respected manufacturer with over 75 years of success, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Team Lead to oversee daily operations in our Machine Shop, Saw, and Weld areas.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a manufacturing professional who enjoys developing teams, improving processes, and driving production results while working alongside employees on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities across Machine Shop, Saw, and Weld departments
• Assign work, monitor productivity, and ensure production goals are met
• Train, coach, and develop team members
• Review blueprints, work orders, and production requirements
• Ensure quality, safety, and operational standards are maintained
