Job summary

Steelwrist is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor to lead daily operations and help build the organization for the future at our Newington, Connecticut site. You will oversee Assembly, CNC Machining, and Warehouse, coordinating with the Production Manager on capacity, staffing, and process improvements.

You will develop a high-performing team, promote safety, and drive continuous improvement using Lean methods and digital tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or a related industrial environment.
• Previous experience in a supervisory, team lead, or manufacturing leadership role.
• Strong understanding of daily production management, safety, quality, and workflow.
• Experience with ERP systems and digital production tools.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, or standardized work.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily work across Assembly, CNC Machining, and Warehouse operations.
• Set daily priorities and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution.
• Coach, support, and develop employees while maintaining clear expectations and accountability.
• Monitor production performance, quality, delivery, staffing, and operational issues.
• Work with the Production Manager on capacity planning, staffing, and improvement priorities.
• Drive continuous improvement, 5S, standardized work, and more efficient production processes.
