Job summary

Soap Creek Resources in Manitowoc, WI, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for a hands-on, end-to-end role on the factory floor. You will partner with production teams to diagnose and solve process issues, drive improvements, and sustain gains across routes and lines.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing engineering for custom assembly, strong communication, and a proven ability to lead projects with minimal supervision while collaborating across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering is required.
• Prior leadership experience is important because this is an independent role with the manager based at another plant.
• 3+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a custom assembly operation.
• Must be a self-starter who can work independently and, on a team.
• Prior project management experience, start to finish, is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for solving hands-on manufacturing problems to improve day-to-day performance.
• Work with Production, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, and Engineering to meet KPIs.
• Develop practical solutions and ensure improvements are implemented and sustained.
• Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor and resolve day-to-day process issues with operators and supervisors.
• Serve as escalation resource for problems requiring deeper process analysis.
• Coordinate efforts to plan, design, develop, and validate manufacturing processes and improvements.
