Job summary

Strand Products is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to own, improve, validate, and sustain high-precision wire and cable assembly processes on the Ventura production floor. The role collaborates with Engineering, Quality, Production, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to drive process capability and reduce variability.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in regulated manufacturing, NPI-to-sustainment transfer experience, and proficiency with data tools (Minitab, DOE, PFMEA).

Qualifications

• BS/MS Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in regulated manufacturing.
• Experience owning and improving production processes.
• Experience transitioning from NPI to sustaining production.
• Experience identifying automation and process-control improvements.
• Excellent analytical and computer skills including Minitab, SolidWorks, 3D printing, MRP/ERP, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100 and ISO 13485 quality systems.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned manufacturing processes from release through sustaining production.
• Develop, validate, standardize, document, and improve methods and process controls.
• Analyze production data and KPIs to identify constraints, defects, and cost opportunities.
• Lead improvements to increase throughput, yield, and efficiency while reducing scrap and downtime.
• Lead Lean, Kaizen, and other continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate NPI-to-sustaining production transfer with clear criteria.
• Provide daily production engineering support on the shop floor.
• Troubleshoot issues using structured root-cause methods and durable corrective actions.
• Create and maintain work instructions, PFMEAs, control plans, BOMs, and routing docs.
