MW Components, Inc. in Seymour, CT is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to improve manufacturing processes on the production floor, collaborating with operators, supervisors, and engineering teams.

You will focus on reducing scrap and downtime, improving cycle times, and implementing standardized processes, PFMEAs, control plans, and process documentation. This role requires a engineering degree and 3–5 years of related experience, with Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC expertise preferred; on-site

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial preferred.
• 3–5 years of process/manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience in metalworking, machining, CNC, screw machine operations, or precision manufacturing.
• Knowledge of PFMEAs, Control Plans, process flows, and work instructions.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, or related methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, evaluate, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to meet safety, quality, delivery, output, and cost objectives.
• Analyze production and process data to identify trends, variation, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and process issues on the production floor and implement corrective actions.
• Lead projects to reduce scrap, rework, downtime, cycle time, and costs.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment, tooling, process parameters, and workflow.
• Monitor metrics like scrap, downtime, throughput, and process capability.
• Perform root cause analysis and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and maintain standardized processes, parameters, work instructions, and documentation.
• Support PFMEAs, Control Plans, process flows, validations, and trial runs.
• Apply Lean and continuous improvement to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
