SPIROL Shim Division invites an on-site Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering Intern for Fall 2027 in Stow, Ohio. Gain real-world engineering experience with a global manufacturer focused on innovation and continuous improvement. August–December 2027, 100% on site, in Stow, OH.

You’ll work alongside engineering and manufacturing professionals on meaningful projects impacting daily operations, with exposure to aerospace, automotive, and industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate Engineering or Technical program at an accredited college or university.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiar with AutoCAD and 3D CAD modeling.
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong work ethic, initiative, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing procedures and production methods for improvement opportunities.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and engineering projects.
• Perform time studies to support production and item creation standards.
• Assist with new or upgraded process and equipment implementation projects.
• Support process development, improvement, and documentation efforts.
• Develop procedures, forms, checklists, and schedules to support manufacturing activities.
• Research new technologies, equipment, and supplies to improve operations.
• Collaborate with plant personnel, office staff, suppliers, and contractors as needed.
• Gain hands on experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
