Job summary

Accelevation invites you to join as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 at our Miamisburg, OH site. You’ll work with seasoned engineers to document processes, support production, and contribute to ERP-related tasks in a real manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
• Completion of at least two years of undergraduate study preferred.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing, engineering, or technical processes through coursework or projects.
• Experience using 3D parametric CAD software through academic or project work preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and create technical engineering drawings.
• Understanding of manufacturing tolerances and engineering documentation.
• Interest in hands-on manufacturing environments and production operations.
• Effective communication and cross-department collaboration.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Hands-on manufacturing engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing engineering projects by learning assigned production areas and understanding equipment, personnel, workflows, and processes.
• Observe production operations to identify opportunities for improvements and efficiencies.
• Assist with documenting manufacturing methods and reviewing production documentation for accuracy.
• Help ensure work instructions, engineering drawings, and production documentation remain current and usable.
• Support Epicor ERP infrastructure by creating, reviewing, and updating parts, revisions, jobs, orders, BOMs, and production operations.
• Utilize CAD and drafting skills to create/update production-ready drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Support tooling and jig improvement projects by gathering operator feedback and aiding implementation.
• Collaborate with operators, leaders, planners, maintenance, quality, and engineers to resolve daily challenges.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Present project accomplishments and ERP contributions to operations leadership at internship conclusion.
