Apogee Enterprises, Inc. Viracon plant in Owatonna, MN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for 2027 to gain hands-on experience on the manufacturing floor.

You will work directly with engineering and production teams on real projects and learn processes, equipment, and operations. You will identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency and productivity, assist with troubleshooting, collect production data, and support lean manufacturing initiatives while gaining

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year engineering degree in manufacturing/industrial/mechanical fields.
• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing during the internship.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Interest in hands-on manufacturing work and operations.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Work with manufacturing engineers and production teams on real projects.
• Spend time on the floor learning processes, equipment, and operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency and productivity.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
• Collect and analyze production data and support lean initiatives.
• Contribute to process documentation and work instructions.
