Job summary

onsemi is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join the Manufacturing Engineering team in Nampa, Idaho. You will support process optimization, yield improvement, and efficiency initiatives in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

Work with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to analyze data, drive improvements, and develop dashboards and reports. Opportunities include Lean, SPC, Power BI, and digital manufacturing projects aligned with company goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Chemical, Materials Science, Computer Engineering or related field
• Sophomore standing or above
• Strong analytical and problem- solving skills
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Effective communication and teamwork
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Support Manufacturing Engineers in process improvement, yield enhancement, and productivity projects
• Analyze manufacturing and equipment data to identify trends and opportunities
• Assist with root cause investigations and corrective action implementation
• Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate progress
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities
• Maintain process documentation, work instructions, and engineering procedures
• Support qualifications, equipment evaluations, and validation activities
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams
• Collect and analyze data on process capability, throughput, cycle time, quality, and equipment performance
• Present findings and recommendations to leadership
