Job summary

Jobot in Newtown Square, PA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the build of industrial heating products. This role focuses on improving design for manufacture, assembly, and test, collaborating with sales, engineering, and floor teams to deliver quality systems on time.

You will own manufacturing processes for electric heaters and control panels, work instructions, BOMs, routings, and test procedures, and drive Lean improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in an industrial environment.
• Experience with electromechanical assemblies, control panels, heaters, or thermal/process equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and create mechanical and electrical drawings; SolidWorks or AutoCAD experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve manufacturing processes for electric heaters, control panels, and custom heating systems.
• Create and maintain work instructions, BOMs, routings, and assembly/test procedures.
• Support design-for-manufacturability reviews on custom and standard products.
• Drive continuous improvement in throughput, quality, cost, and safety (Lean, 5S, root-cause analysis).
• Troubleshoot production issues and support technicians on the floor.
• Evaluate and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment improvements.
• Support quality: nonconformance investigations, corrective actions, and testing.
• Work with purchasing and suppliers on components and materials.
