Job summary

Ace Precision Machining Corporation seeks a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvements across our shop floor. You will collaborate with production, quality, and engineering to deliver measurable gains in efficiency, quality, and delivery in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment.

The role requires a BS in engineering with 3+ years of manufacturing experience and proficiency in SolidWorks. Epicor ERP experience and Lean/Six Sigma know-how are preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
Experience with 3D modeling (SolidWorks or similar software).
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Understanding of Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies with the ability to apply statistical techniques in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Drive continuous improvement by analyzing manufacturing processes and implementing solutions that improve efficiency, quality, cost, and delivery.
Partner with production, quality, sales, and engineering teams to support complex aerospace and defense manufacturing programs.
Develop, improve, and validate manufacturing processes using sound engineering principles, statistical analysis, and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
Lead and support improvement projects, managing timelines, priorities, and deliverables using project management tools.
Evaluate process performance using data and statistical methods to identify variation, risk, and opportunities for optimization.
Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including routings, work instructions, sketches, and process changes.
Design complex routings and manufacturing sketches that meet customer specifications and internal standards.
Support production and quality teams by dispositioning nonconforming product and determining rework or corrective actions.
Communicate project status and recommendations clearly to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Document technical decisions and process changes with accuracy and clarity

WHAT EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 3+ years of manufacturing experience
Experience with 3D modeling (SolidWorks or similar software)

BONUS POINTS FOR:

Experience in sheet metal forming, CNC machining, fusion/resistance welding, heat treating/brazing, or 5-axis laser cutting
Experience working with an ERP system, preferably Epicor
