Job summary

180 Engineering is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support significant growth, new equipment launches, automation initiatives, and production expansion. The role is hands-on on the factory floor, driving startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of manufacturing equipment and processes.

You will collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, materials, suppliers, and customers to bring new capacity online while maintaining day-to-day operations and solving production

Qualifications

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• Manufacturing environment experience on the shop floor.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and ownership of projects.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, integration, startup, and commissioning of new equipment and lines.
• Collaborate with suppliers during installation, startup, and process optimization.
• Support production startups, test runs, validation, and debugging during launches.
• Troubleshoot equipment, processes, tooling, fixtures, and production issues to identify root causes.
• Work with operators, maintenance, quality, materials, and leadership to resolve issues.
• Support continuous improvement of tooling and fixtures; participate in lean initiatives.
• Read drawings and GD&T; ensure compliance with specifications.
