Job summary

Duraco Specialty Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer focused on converting and web handling on the production floor. You will work next to operators to troubleshoot, set up new SKUs, and improve processes—aiming for higher uptime, yield, and repeatability.

Requirements include hands-on experience with unwind/rewind, roll-to-roll processing, laminating, coating, and slitting; knowledge of AutoCAD and Excel is preferred. A Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience on the manufacturing floor in a converting environment.
• Familiarity with unwind/rewind, web tension, coating, laminating, and slitting processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot process issues and work with operations to improve uptime and yield.

Responsibilities

• Support converting equipment setup, trials, and scale-up for new products and changing production needs.
• Troubleshoot web handling, unwind/rewind, material flow, tooling, die, and process issues with operations and maintenance.
• Use AutoCAD and Excel to improve layouts, documentation, processes, and decision-making.
• Lead continuous improvement projects focused on uptime, yield, waste reduction, quality, and floor efficiency.
