Job summary
Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design tools and fixtures, optimize production flow, and support continuous improvement on the shop floor in Dallas, TX. This hands-on role emphasizes 3D CAD design, tooling development, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive throughput and quality.
The position involves developing and maintaining documentation, supporting new product introduction, and providing technical shop-floor support in a fast-paced manufacturing
Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD design and drafting using AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, NX or similar.
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication or sheet metal design is required.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including machining and assembly.
- Ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively in a production environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize production flow, tools, jigs, and fixtures using 3D CAD software.
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation including BOMs and assembly instructions.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and manufacturing teams to prototype, test, and implement tooling and process solutions.
- Lead process improvement projects to increase throughput, reduce waste, and improve quality.
- Provide ongoing technical support to production teams and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
