Job summary

Aventure Staffing in Waterloo, IA is seeking a versatile Staff Accountant to manage full-cycle financial operations for a small manufacturing facility. You will handle AP/AR, payroll, GL management, bank reconciliations and inventory accounting in a hands-on environment.

You will deliver monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, ensure journal entry accuracy, and collaborate with other departments to support cost tracking and compliant reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ADP Payroll.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and cost accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records for accounts payable/receivable and general ledger.
• Record daily financial transactions and ensure data integrity in accounting software.
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts for accuracy.
• Process weekly payroll in a timely manner.
• Monitor monthly inventory accounting for raw materials and finished goods.
• Assist with quarterly and year-end financial reporting for investors.
