Job summary

Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to keep facilities, equipment, and systems in safe, working condition. You will troubleshoot issues, perform routine repairs, and manage basic handyman tasks with attention to safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in maintenance or related fields, enjoy problem-solving, and can work independently while coordinating with vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, facilities, construction, or related field preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable working with hand and power tools.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb, and perform physical work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the property.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general building issues.
• Handle basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and other handyman projects.
• Perform preventative maintenance to identify and address problems before they become major issues.
• Respond to maintenance requests and complete work in a timely manner; maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Coordinate with outside contractors when specialized repairs are needed.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures and building codes.
• Keep basic records of repairs, maintenance, and materials used.
