Job summary

Fogelman is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at The Aster Sugar Land Apartments. The role requires 3+ years in maintenance supervision within multifamily properties, with strong HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair skills.

Certifications in HVAC (Type 1/2 or Universal) and CPO are preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required. The position emphasizes vendor relations, turn management, and overall maintenance operations, with

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Maintenance Supervisory experience in multifamily properties.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
• HVAC Certification required (Type 1 & 2 or Universal).
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) may be required.
• Proficient in plumbing, HVAC, electrical and appliance repair.
• Proficient in using computers and online applications.
• Knowledge of Yardi, Entrata and HappyCo preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and automobile insurance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of the maintenance team and assignment of work.
• Coordinate with vendors and schedule work to minimize downtime.
• Manage make-readies and move-ins inspections.
• Maintain property logs (refrigerant, pool chemicals, mold).
• Handle escalated maintenance issues and root-cause analysis.
• Oversee supply orders and budget adherence.
• Participate in on-call rotations and occasional weekend work.
• Ensure safety compliance and Fair Housing adherence.
• Interview and hire maintenance staff; coach and train team.
